Funding of £66,000 has been provided to support residents in the Crosby and Park area of Scunthorpe through a community hub.
The project, which is to be delivered by North Lincolnshire Council and the Oasis Community Partnership Trust, aims to bring together and integrate local services in the community to ensure people's needs are addressed at a neighbourhood level.
The joint bid by the council and the trust was among the successful projects announced by Northern Powerhouse Minister and Brigg and Goole MP Andrew Percy to be awarded money through the Communities Fund.
The cash will be used to create a central point within the Crosby and Park ward, working closely with Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue, to respond to the needs of the local community and ensure residents are engaged in designing, delivering and leading services.
Support and advice will be provided and the needs of children and young people, and families will be identified to bring about change and transformation.
The project will see a hub co-ordinator appointed to work closely with residents and partners, ensuring the community is at the heart of how the hub works and is delivered.
